Canoe Sprint legend pulls out of Olympic qualifier due to health problems

We were very sad to hear that German canoe legend Birgit Fisher (who would have been one of the oldest Athlete ever to compete at the Olympics) had to pull out of the German qualifies due to a heart condition that was discovered during a routine checkup. Add new comment

Leaside Trust, supported by Brookbank Canoes is holding the first ever Fun Rodeo at Lee Valley White Water Centre. Leaside brings the most entertaining event to hit Lee Valley. The rodeo is aimed at introducing paddlers to freestylein a fun, relaxed way. Points awarded for anything you can do in your boat, try waving at the judges, or giving a thumbs up, or even swimming for big points! The point of the Rodeo is to have Fun!Open to Juniors(9+) and Seniors(16+)
